Sex: Female | Call Name: Sophie | Color: Grizzle Parti
DOB: March 2, 2010
Most Memorable Win: 2013 was an amazing year for Sophie but at the top of my list would have to be an Award of Merit at the SCOA Nationals under judge Ute Lennartz. The Huron Valley Cluster weekend starting with a Best In Specialty win and a Group I at the Michigan Hound Show under judge Pattie Widick Neal, finishing the weekend with 2 Selects and an Award of Merit. To close out her 2013 show season we went to the SCOA Eastern Regional and she was awarded Best of Opposite under Helen Graham at the first show and Select Bitch under Juan Carlos Vasconsellos, with a second select at the ASA support under Patrick Garcia Jr.
Sophie is a super happy exuberant girl who loves life. She loves being in the show ring just as much as she loves being in my bed. In September of 2013 she started training for agility and has decided she loves it and is doing wonderfully. She has already earned 4 CPE agility titles and is very close to her first two AKC titles. Her future is bright and no telling what she’s got planned.

BIS GCh Appalachia’s Allamyrra Hajji – RESERVE – 11
Sex: Female | Call Name: Ally | Color: Red
DOB: November 3, 2008
Most Memorable Win: Ally has had many wins that are ALL special. Ally has won 4 Best in Shows, 5 Reserve Best in Shows and 30 Group I’s. However, one of my favorites was at the Eukanuba last December. Marinell, Gerry and I were all there “to support our girl”. She looked fantastic and won Select Bitch and Best Saluki Bred by Exhibitor. We were thrilled. That day will always be extra special.
From the minute I saw her as a newborn I knew that she was Something Special. The resemblance to her maternal great grandmother was uncanny. The one big difference between them is that Ally never “gets into things”. She is a good girl. I know that is most un-Saluki-like, but with a few exceptions, she has perfect manners. There was that time when she got loose during her leash training exercise. We were in Lexington and Gerry had to literally dive through a six foot hedge trying to catch her. (I might add that she was unsuccessful.) Then Ally ran into the first open door she saw at the hotel and jumped on the bed like she owned it. When we all ran into the room after her, she didn’t seem to understand what all the fuss was about.
2013 was an incredible year for Ally. She likes to travel and she loves to show. She has surpassed our wildest expectations. Not only that, but if you look closely around the ring you may notice that she looks like she is smiling. ALLY is a VERY GOOD GIRL!
