SCOA National Specialty

The 2012 Saluki Club of America National Specialty will be held at Purina Farms in Gray Summit, Missouri June 5th – 9th. Purina Farms is located on 300 acres of rolling hills about 1 hour from the St. Louis International Airport.

Tentative plans are for there to be four shows immediately preceding the National at the same location, including an All-Breed show, two Supported Entry shows, plus a Regional Saluki Specialty, which would make an opportunity of winning points at five shows over the week.

So make plans now to join with other Saluki fanciers in Missouri from June 1st through June 9, 2012!

So far we have the following judges approved:

 Monday, June 4th – SCOA 1st Central Regional, Alan Ewles, regular classes; Frank Cassano, Sweepstakes classes.

 National Specialty June 5th to 9th – Janet Littell Adam, regular classes; Beverly Griffith, Sweepstakes classes.

There will be new events, new experiences, and new memories made.

We have a fun filled time for all planned and this year we follow 4 all-breed shows at the same location! June 1 – 4, 2012 will be the Mississippi Valley KC and Missouri Rhineland KC shows!

Planned activities will include:

Tuesday June 5th ASFA Lure Coursing, the Futurity, and The Mad Hatter invites you to his Tea Party to view the TOP 20 Competition and to see previous SCOA National and Regional Winners.

Wednesday June 6th Sweepstakes, Agility, Triathlon judging and the LU-WOW party.

Thursday June 7th Breed classes start with the Dog classes, a Desert Bred Exhibition, Costumes and the Annual Wine & Cheese Social with Live Auction.

Friday June 8th Breed classes continue with the Bitches, Junior Showmanship, Silent Auction and lots more Lure Coursing with a spicy twist as we host a Salsa Tasting at the Lure Coursing Field.

Saturday June 9th brings us to a spectacular close with Intersex Best of Breed competition and recognition of our 2012 Winners to date.
