National Saluki Specialty

Take the main entrance into the Kentucky Horse Park. Pass the parking booth and go around the round-about and turn right on to Cigar Lane. Follow Cigar Lane to Walt Robinson Road (just past the Maintenance Buildings) and turn left. Go past the new Indoor Arena (on the left) and the Secretariat Center (on the right). The show area begins across from the Secretariat Center and goes all the way to the circular drive at the end of the road.

The Paddock Field that will be used for the main National activities slops down from Walt Robinson Road and flatten outs for over 50% of the area. The main area for primitive camping, RVs (no hook-ups), and day parking will be on this sloped area in case of inclement weather. The rings used for the show events, obedience, rally, and agility will be located on the nice huge flat area. Vendors will be located on 3 sides of the show ring area. And we will be having similar seating ring side as we did in 2009.

The other Paddock Field will be used for all of the lure coursing events. Part of the paddock field's fencing will be removed for easy access to the coursing field. The coursing field slops up and away in two directions from this entrance/exit area. This will not only provide for challenging course plans but allow all involved to easily see the entire course plan.
